This isn’t a typical first novel, if by “typical first novel” we mean a minor-chord and semi-autobiographical nibbling expedition around the margins of a life. Everything about the movie has the comic book feel. This is the ONLY movie series out that is made to look and feel exactly like you are reading a comic. Either the people leaving bad reviews have not actually seen the movie, or they are not fans of Robert Rodriguez or comic books in general. It was a great follow up to the first Sin City.
